SEA-PAH

Code of Conduct

SEA-PAH community standards, expectations, and grievance process.

The following represents the standard Code of Conduct governing all SEA-PAH spaces - physical, digital, and otherwise. All participants agree to abide by these standards. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action by the Board of Directors.

Core Principles

  • Consent is everything. Ask before you touch people. Ask before you touch others’ belongings.
  • Be respectful. Racist, transphobic, sexist, homophobic, heterophobic, biphobic, and body- or kink-shaming jokes, comments, and insults will not be tolerated.
  • No bullying or harassment. If someone asks you to step away, do so immediately.
  • No illegal substances. The use of illegal recreational substances is strictly prohibited.
  • No violence. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated, excluding consensual engagement in BDSM activities.

Enforcement

Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in immediate action, including expulsion from the space without refund where applicable. Further disciplinary action may be taken at the discretion of the SEA-PAH Board of Directors. The process by which further action may be taken against a member is governed by the SEA-PAH Bylaws Article IX.

Member Safety

When a member safety concern is brought to the Board of Directors, we may temporarily suspend a member from attending events that would create a situation where other members are uncomfortable. If through further investigation the concern is unsubstantiated, we may reinstate the member’s ability to attend events.

Reporting

To report a concern, email the Board of Directors at [email protected], use the contact page, or speak directly with a board member at any event.
